My family loves this soup and I got the recipe from my grandmother. I loved it as a kid and I hope that your children love this soup as much as mine do!

**********************

Needed to make broth

*3 lg boneless, skinless chicken breast( Already boiled and chopped) *1/2 cup chopped onion *5 cups water (can use chicken broth) *4 chicken bouillon cubes (leave out if using chicken broth) *2 minced garlic cloves *1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning *1/4 teaspoon black pepper *1/4 teaspoon of salt *2 tablespoons of milk

Step 1: Add everything to the pot and boil for 10 minutes.

While this is boiling, prepare your dumplings as follows:

Needed to make

*1 1/3 cups of flour *2 teaspoons baking powder *1 tablespoon parsley *1/2 teaspoon salt *2/3 cup of milk *2 tablespoons melted butter *1 egg (well beaten)

Step 1: Using a large bowl, add all ingredients and mix well. Mixture will be very wet when you are done. Step 2: Once your broth is boiling, add the dumpling mixture, one forkful at a time. Step 3: Once all dumplings are in pot, allow to boil for 10 minutes, mixing often.

Step 4: Allow a few minutes to cool and then serve!

This is great with saltine crackers, but it's up to you!
