Easy Homemade Pasta

My family loves homemade pasta, and this is the easiest way I have found to make it! Homemade pasta taste better than the boxed kind and can be a lot of fun to make, my kids love to turn the crank for me, lol! I hope you can have fun making this too!

********************

Needed to make

*4 cups all-purpose flour *6 large eggs *1 to 3 teaspoons of cold water *1/8 teaspoon of salt (can add up to 1 teaspoon)

* extra flour for rolling and dusting (bout a cup in all)

Step 1: In a large bowl, beat your eggs for about 1 minute. Step 2: Add salt and mix well. Step 2: Add 1 cup of flour and mix well. Step 3: Add a second cup of flour and again mix well. Step 4: Add your third cup of flour and mix well. Step 5: Now you have to get messy! Take out your ball of dough, sprinkle flour on your counter top and place dough on top. Sprinkle your last cup of flour on top and start kneading. This will take about 10 to 20 minutes. Step 6: Stop about half way and add water, then go back to kneading until all flour is kneaded in. Step 7: Shape dough into a bread loaf, wrap in saran wrap and place into refridgerator for about 30 minutes.

Now that dough is ready

Step 1: Sprinkle flour on counter, place dough on top and lightly dust it with more flour. Step 2: Cut dough into about 5 to 6 pieces. Step 3: Lightly dust dough with flour any time any gets sticky. Step 4: Pat dough into thinner strips and begin taking it through your roller. Start at the largest setting, do each setting twice. Keep going until your thinnest setting. Step 5: Cut the length of your dough, any time it gets to long, into a more manageable size. Step 6: Repeat steps 3 to 5 until you have all your dough done. Step 7: Now choose what type of pasta you want and make it!

Storing your pasta

Once all of your dough is the type of pasta that you want, place it onto cookie sheets covered in parchment paper and place into freezer for about 5 minutes, or until firm. Once your pasta is firm, place into freezer bags and store until ready to use.

To cook it, add pasta directly to a pot of boiling water with a dash of salt or a teaspoon of olive oil, your choice. It will take 7 to 10 minutes.

Using your pasta immediately

Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add a dash of salt or a teaspoon of olive oil, your choice. Add pasta to water and watch it closely, it will be ready in around 3 minutes.

Now add your sauce, meatballs, shrimp or whatever you want and serve while it's hot!

You can buy the pasta roller at most stores and online. It cost about $45.

I bought mine on an app called wish shopping. It was only $15! It did take a few weeks to get it.

P.S. Stay away from the electronics on there! But the kitchen stuff is great!
