Cocoa Silk Cream Pie


This a wonderful pie that is easy to make and awesome to eat! You will love it!

Needed to make

*8in. Frozen pie shell *3 Tablespoons cornstarch *2 egg yolks, beaten *1 Tablespoon butter *1 teaspoon vanilla *2 cups milk *1 cup of sugar *1/2 cup cocoa *1/4 teaspoon salt

*Cool whip or whipped cream

Step 1: Set your pie crust out for about 20 minutes to defrost. Then using a fork, poke holes in the bottom and sides. Bake at 400 for 20 to 25 minutes. Set aside and allow it to cool completely. Step 2: Using a medium sauce pan, mix sugar, cocoa, cornstarch and salt together. Slowly add milk and mix well. Step 3: Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until mix is thick and bubbly. Step 4: Boil for 1 minute, still stirring. Step 5: Using a medium bowl, pour half of mixture in with your egg yolks and mix well. Step 6: Now return mixture to sauce pan and heat to a gentle boil on low. Step 7: Boil for 1 minute. Step 8: Remove from heat and add butter and vanilla. Mix well. Step 9: Pour mixture into cooled pie crust and tap crust to settle. Step 10: Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate til completely cool. At least 1 hour. (Mine took an hour and a half.)

Now serve.
