Bourbon Chicken Alfredo

This is a recipe of my own invention. I wanted something new and yummy, so I found a few recipes online that sounded somewhat ok and combined them to make my own!

Needed to make

*1 box of bow tie pasta *1 package of shitake mushrooms *1 to 2 Tablespoons of hot sauce *1 Teaspoon of minced garlic, divided *1 to 5 Tablespoons cajun seasoning *1/2 a bell pepper, diced *1/2 an onion, diced *1/2 to 1 cup white wine *1 teaspoon salt, divided *1 teaspoon pepper, divided *4 Tablespoons butter *1/2 cup olive oil *1 Tablespoon basil *2 packages alfredo sauce, about 3 cups (can use jar) *1/4 cup bourbon *1 to 2 cups chicken, boiled and chopped Step 1: In a medium bowl add chicken, oregano, oil, bourbon, basil, and half of the salt, pepper and garlic. Cover and chill in refrigerator for 1 hr. Step 2: Cook your pasta per box instructions. Step 3: Cook or heat your alfredo per package instructions. Step 4: In a large skillet add your butter, garlic, onion, bell pepper and mushrooms. Cook til butter is melted. Step 5: Add your wine and cook til onion is clear. Step 6: Now add hot sauce, salt, pepper, alfredo sauce and cajun seasoning. Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes. Step 7: Drain your chicken in a strainer and add it to the skillet. Simmer for another 5 minutes. Step 8: Add your pasta and simmer another 5 minutes.

Allow a few minutes to cool and serve.
