St Patrick's Day Cupcakes

I love holiday's and all the really cool and unique things you can make! This is one of my St. Patrick's Day cupcake ideas.

********************

Needed to make:

*some pre-made vanilla cupcakes

*some vanilla buttercream (The link to my recipe is below)

*some sugar cookies cut into 3 leaf clovers (My recipe and where to buy the cookie cutters is below)

*some yellow fondant

*2 shades of green royal icing (one slightly darker than the other)

*gold metallic food paint (The link is below)

*some leprechaun coins ( I got mine at the dollar store)

*vodka

Step 1: Ice the cookies and flood with the lighter green. Set aside for about 20 minutes.

Step 2: Make your gold coins by cutting circles the same size as the coins you bought. Press the coins into your fondant to make an impression. Now mix a small amount of vodka with the gold paint and paint one side of your coins. Set aside for about 20 minutes to dry.

Step 3: Ice your cupcakes.

Step 4: Using the darker green icing, outline your cookies and add your detail work. Set aside.

Step 5: Turn your coins over and paint the other side. Set aside for about 20 minutes.

Step 6: Add your cookie clover and fondant gold coins to your cupcakes.

Now serve.
