Chocolate and Peanut Butter Truffles


This is a recipe of my own invention. I love Reese's and I wanted to be able to make them at home. I hope you enjoy these too.

Needed to make the Peanut Butter Filling:

*3 cups powered sugar

*1/4 cup heavy whipping cream

*1/3 cup peanut butter

*1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla

Step 1: Pour everything into mixer and blend well. Mixture will be thick.

I use a piping bag, but you can also use a small spoon or roll into balls. You can also roll the mixture out and cut into squares.

If you want to use transfers, cut them into small enough pieces to fit in your mold and make sure that rough side is facing your chocolate.

Needed to make the chocolate:

*1 to 4 cups of chocolate, divided

Step 1: Place 1/2 of your chocolate into a microwave safe bowl and heat for 1 minute.

Step 2: Stir well and heat for 30 seconds. Continue until chocolate is melted and smooth.

Step 3: Add your unmelted chocolate and stir til smooth. Do not put back into microwave.

Step 4: Pour chocolate into prepared mold and let sit for a minute. Turn mold over on parchment paper and shake out excess chocolate. Allow to dry for at least 5 minutes.

Step 5: Add filling with your preferred method. Do not over fill.

Step 6: Pour more chocolate on top and smooth out. Allow to sit for at least 10 minutes.

Step 7: Gently remove truffles from mold and serve. (If you used transfers, remember to remove the plastic before serving.)
