No Bake Cookies

I loved these cookies as a kid and now my kids love them. They are pretty easy to make and are no bake, which is always nice in the summer!

*******************

Needed to make

* 2 cups sugar

* 1/2 cup milk

* 1/4 cup butter

* 2 1/2 cup raw oatmeal

* 2 tsp. vanilla

* 4 tbsp. cocoa

* 1/2 cup peanut butter

Step 1: In a medium sauce pan, mix sugar, butter, milk and cocoa. Bring to a boil.

Step 2: Boil for 1 1/2 minutes and remove from heat.

Step 3: Add vanilla, oatmeal and peanut butter. Mix well, making sure peanut butter is completely melted.

Step 4: Using an ice cream scoop or a spoon, drop onto a cookie sheet covered with wax paper. Makes about 40 to 60 cookies.

Step 5: Allow at least 20 minutes to cool. They will lose some of the shiny color when they have set.

Step 6: Remove from wax paper and store in an airtight container on your counter top or in the pantry.
