How to Make Crockpot Chili

This is a very easy chili that cooks itself while you take care of other things. It can be eaten as a meal or used on burgers, fries or hot dogs. It goes great with my cornbread or crackers.

I did say paprika in the video in error, it's actually cayenne pepper. This is a recipe of my own invention.

*******************

Needed to make

* 1 large onion (cut in half)

* 2 lbs. ground beef

* 2 cloves garlic

* 1 can (28 ounce) tomato sauce (undrained)

* 1 can Rotel (or 1 large chopped tomato) (undrained)

* 1 can red beans (undrained)

* 1 small can green chilies (undrained)

* 1 can pinto beans (undrained)

* 2 tbsp. chili powder

* 1 1/2 tsp. cumin

* 1/2 tsp. salt

* 1/2 tsp. pepper

* 1 tsp. cayenne pepper (optional: This will give it a little kick)

Optional: Shredded cheese, diced onion and sour cream on top.

Step 1: In a large skillet cook beef for 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until beef is browned. Drain well.

Step 2: In a large crockpot, add everything except the onion. Take 1/2 the onion and place in crockpot, save the rest to chop and use on top after chili is done.

Step 3: Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.

Serve with toppings of your choice.
