Herb and Cheese Bubble Loaf

This is a great bread to go with pasta's or just as an appetizer or snack!

*******************

* 2 1/2 to 3 cups flour

* 1 package active dry yeast

* 1 cup milk

* 1 tablespoon butter

* 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

* 1/4 cup butter (melted)

* 2 tablespoons parsley

* 1/2 teaspoon oregano

* 1/2 teaspoon marjoram

* 1/2 teaspoon salt

Step 1: In a sauce pan heat and stir milk, 1 tablespoon of butter and salt until warm(do not boil or completely melt the butter).

Step 2: Pour liquid in a large mixing bowl with yeast and 1 cup of flour. Beat with an electric mixer on high for 3 minutes, scraping sides of bowl often. Stir in cheese and as much of the rest of the flour as you can.

Step 3: Place dough on a floured counter and knead in the last of the flour. Dough should be somewhat stiff, but smooth and elastic. Shape dough into a ball and place in a lightly greased bowl, turning it for coating. Cover and let it rise for 1 hour, it should double in size.

Step 4: Punch dough down and place back on floured surface. Cover and let it rest for 10 minutes. Now roll out the dough into a large square or rectangle, about 8x6 in size. Cut dough into 45 to 50 pieces. Gently roll each piece into a ball, tucking edges underneath and set aside.

Step 5: In a bowl mix the melted butter, parsley, oregano and marjoram together. Dip each dough ball in mixture until lightly coated and place in a lightly greased loaf pan, smooth side up. Cover and let rise for 35 to 40 minutes.

Step 6: Bake at 375 for 35 to 40 minutes. Bread should sound hollow when you tap it (cover the bread with foil for the last 10 minutes to keep from over-browning).

Step 7: Remove from pan and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving.

Allow to cool for a few minutes and remove from pan.

Goes great with marinara sauce!
